Angel’s Pizza (AP), one of the four food and beverage brands under The Figaro Group (TFG), is rapidly expanding its operations despite the pandemic after successfully adapting to the changes in customer behavior.

The firm is opening a total of 16 stores this year following the 5 branches opened last year. It should end 2021 with a total of 43 branches.

Branches opened this year are located in Pasig, Retiro, Sta. Rosa in Laguna, Angeles in Pampanga, Las Piñas, Bacoor and Gen. Trias in Cavite, and Malolos in Bulacan.

To open in October are branches in Valenzuela and Cainta, while four branches will be added next month in Ortigas, Makati, BGC, and Congressional in Quexon City. For December, new stores will open in San Fernando, Pampanga and Lipa, Batangas.

In a statement, Angel’s Pizza said it has adapted to weather the challenging situation, pivoting its services to enhance delivery efforts and targeting key provincial and metro locations to capture a wider market.

As protocols continue to shift nationwide and the mandate of social distancing are set in place, the company has quickly switched gears and concentrated on its online presence by partnering with delivery services that have gained momentous traction the past year.

“Angel’s Pizza was able to swivel its operations during the pandemic since most customers shifted to deliveries, we took advantage of strengthening our internal delivery [efforts] and tie-ups with delivery services such as GrabFood,” said TFG Director of Operations Audrey Santos.

While Angel’s Pizza prioritized convenience for its customers through its delivery services, it has also resolved catering to areas it did not formerly cover.

Proactively responding to heightened demand, it has managed to branch out to five more locations during in 2020.

“We were able to launch five new franchise stores last year—Pateros, North Caloocan, Novaliches, Mactan and Banilad, Cebu. We are currently in talks for several locations in Visayas and Mindanao,” said TFG Deputy Chief Operating Officer Mike Barret.

The Figaro Group has also expanded distribution avenues through its recently launched store, The Figaro Group Express, a tie-up of TFG’s four F&B brands including Angel’s Pizza, Tien Ma’s Taiwanese, Figaro Coffee, and TFG Online.

Housing its four entities in a single cloud kitchen not only adds another location to the roster but also raises brand awareness and affinity among its different set of markets. The brand new concept can be found at Shell Congressional Avenue, Quezon City.

“As Angel’s Pizza progresses towards more expansion efforts and revenue streams, it has been able to respond quickly to the current needs and pain points in the market,” the firm said.
