Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has tied up with a Cebu-based taxi service company to modernize public utility vehicle in the country’s second largest economic hub.

In a statement, TMP said it partnered with Ogre Transport Inc., a Cebu-based taxi service company, and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to support the national government’s Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization Program.

The partnership has enabled Ogre Transport to offer Cebu riders its silver and gold premium taxis with 100 Innova units and 50 HiAce Commuter Deluxe units, respectively. All customized by Toyota for this partnership as the initial high-grade line-up.

Shown (from left) are Ogre Transport Corporate Secretary Mr. Richard Cuaho, Ogre Transport President Mr. Dave Lim, Toyota Mabolo representative Mr. Victor Jao, and LTFRB Regional Director Retired Col. Eduardo Montealto, Jr. during the symbolic key turnover to signify their partnership.

“It is of great honor that we were chosen by Ogre Premium Taxi as their partner in mobility in bringing a new riding experience to the public,” Toyota Mabolo Cebu President Philip Lo said.

He added that it is indeed a grateful experience to be partners “in delivering happiness to commuters and bringing them safely to their destination.”

With the new high-grade taxi fleet, Cebuanos and tourists can now opt to travel around Cebu in a premium, safe, and most importantly, comfortable commuting experience.
